Living Artist Auction & Gallery

We are the first art auction platform and gallery to support working class traditional painters and sculptors. We only accept works from living artists who are actively working in the field.

We enable art collectors to sell their pieces to other collectors through our platform and 25% of the sales go back to the artist. Our aim is to help art collectors sell their pieces and discover new art for their collection while providing a way to create additional income for the artist.

Our mission

We do not accept works from non-living artists and this is what separates us from other auction houses.

Every year, billions of dollars are spent on original art by dead artists and living artists who are already successful and famous. These pieces are bought and sold mainly for the namesake and rarity, as an investment and not necessarily for the quality of the piece. Although we understand the motive behind making such investments, this often leaves the working class artists without a platform to show their work.

Traditional art galleries usually take 50% from the artists and most artists have to scrape by with day jobs inevitably perpetuating the stereotype of the "starving artist".

Our mission is to change that with our platform and provide the working class artist an additional means of income to help them continue their work, while encouraging collectors to invest in living artists.

What we do

For art collectors

We provide a platform where you're able to sell your original artwork and discover and bid on new original art to add to your collection.

For living artists

Our platform was created with you in mind. When one of your collectors sell your piece through us, we send you 25% of the sale.

For the next generation of artists

We hope this platform will encourage future artists to keep creating and ensure them that they have allies in the art world.

How it works

Here's how the Living Artist Auction platform will operate.

Sign up and upload your art

You're an art collector and have an original piece of art you'd like to sell. You simply sign up and upload a picture of your piece.

We will research and assess

Our team will research the artist of the piece of art and determine if the artist is eligible. If so, we'll post the artwork on our website and promote through our various social media accounts.

Collectors bid

When someone buys your piece, we'll send the seller 70% of the winning bid. 25% will be sent to the artist and 5% will go to the website admin and shipping fees.

Promotional material for artist

Our team will provide IG reels, images and other promotional material for the artist, so they can share on their social media and increase their chances of getting more bids.

What kind of artwork do you accept from collectors?

We only accept original paintings and drawings on canvas and paper. We also accept sculptures and 3D works done with traditional materials. We do not accept digital artwork or prints, at the moment.

With our permanent collection, we will travel around different art galleries and exhibit them as a group show. If/when we sell a piece through these shows, we will still give 25% back to the artist.

About Manny

2013 - 2018 - I was represented by several fine art galleries in Atlanta, Georgia and Tennessee.

2019 - 2024 - I took a break from painting and learned how to build websites and apps by attending a full stack JavaScript bootcamp. Soon after, I started working as a white label web developer for marketing agencies and private clients.

Now, I help other artists with their tech needs, using what I've learned from various marketing agencies and art galleries I've worked with. I also started a solo creative agency to help artists thrive in the digital space. Learn more

I've had this idea for a living artist auction for a while, but didn't have the necessary tools and resources to execute on it. I'm currently building the auction platform using Webflow, Relume, Wized, Xano and Airtable.
